Not too long ago we had 8 little puppies running around our house. They were really cute but we were soooooo glad when they left. Well Hannah wasn't, she missed them but has since moved on to other things (ahhh the joys of a short attention span).
Well after all of the puppies were sold we used the money to take Libby in to get her fixed.
DJ took her in on Wednesday, she had to stay overnight, so he picked her back up on Thursday. That night was New Years Eve so we spent all night at Karla's house for the yearly party. We got home and Libby was fine.
The next day we went to my mom's house for our New Years Day Lunch/Dinner. When we got home there was blood everywhere. So we called the Vet to see what we should do and he never called us back. We decided just to keep her down and not let her move or lick at the incision. Around 9:00 on Saturday night Hannah came running into the front room yelling that Libby was bleeding again so I go into the bedroom where DJ and Libby had been camped out for the day to clean up the mess. Well she wasn't just bleeding, she had some of her insides coming out of the cut. I hurried and called my mom and dad and they came up and took Hannah for a sleep over and we took Libby the animal version of "Insta Care"
The Vet was a freak. He had to keep reminding us (I guess we looked stupid or just plain dumb) that it wasn't intestines coming out it was just fat but was still a bad thing. He looked at her (after taking care of another dog that ended up dying) and decided to staple her stomach back up (which DJ and I got the pleasure of helping with) until we could make it back to our normal vet on Monday. So since we decided not to pay over $1000 to have him put her back under to see what the issue was he just wrapped her up really good with bandages and sent her home with a cone which she hated.

We got home around 1:00 Sunday morning and finally got to bed. At 5:30 DJ woke up and saw that Libby had somehow gotten out of the bandages. He ran to Walmart to buy more and we re-wrapped her up. To make sure she didn't do it again, we stuck shirts on her and taped them up too. She didn't like that too much either.

So Monday morning finally arrived and DJ is able to take her into our normal Vet. He felt so bad that we had to take her to the "Insta Care" and that he had never called us back that he didn't charge us to put her back under, get everything all cleaned up, and stitched back together. 10 days later DJ was able to take the stitches out and we have a brand new dog!

Since I didn't update for Christmas here is a picture of Hannah's haul from Santa. She was mad because he didn't bring her a frog along with the princess and the frog Barbie. Because 7 other Barbies (the Disney princess set) just wasn't enough.

This is Hannah's very own Pizza that she made.

If anyone out there wants one, we still have 7 homes to find. My favorite one (ok so I have several favorites) has already been spoken for by a neighbor. At least one will go to a good home I guess.
When my mom and I returned home from a day of quilting at Aunt Gins, they had dinner all cooked up and waiting of us. Hannah devoured the fish, she is quite the eater when she wants to be.
Then we celebrated my Moms Birthday
Later in the Day we got a call from My cousin Jeff and his wife Joni that their little Jonathan had finally been born. Here is a picture of the proud grandparents getting their first look(via cell phone) at their new grandson since they couldn't be there in person.

After the dentist we took her to the zoo to try to keep her mind off of her numb mouth. She finally got to ride on the train and carousel since they were closed from the rain on the last visit. She picked what she wanted to ride on all by herself. She told us that it was for Aunt Monica.
On Saturday Hannah got to got to her first real Birthday Party for her friend Allie.
But as soon as we got there she freaked out again, until Heather showed up and she was fine. Then she freaked out again when I tried to leave. The teacher had to pry her off of me since she had grabbed hold of me so tight. I had to leave her there crying, But I know she will have fun.
